7th Pay Commission Latest News: Over 50 lakh Central Government employees who have been waiting for a hike in the minimum pay and fitment factor beyond 7th Pay Commission recommendations may soon get to hear an announcement with regard to the matter. If reports are to be believed, the announcement about hike in fitment factor, minimum pay beyond 7th Central Pay Commission or 7th CPCwill be made by the Centre in August.
The date when the Narendra Modi government will give an approval to the hike in the minimum pay and fitment factor beyond 7th Pay Commission is reportedly August 15. Following the announcement, if it is made, the minimum pay of the Central Government employees will get an increase of up to Rs 8,000, taking it to Rs 26,000 whereas, the fitment factor will see a rise up to 3.68 per cent.
As the wait of Central Government employees for a hike in minimum pay and fitment factor beyond recommendations of 7th Pay Commission grows longer and longer, the Centre is reportedly planning to increase their dearness allowance (DA). The move will, in all likelihood, benefit approximately 48.41 lakh central government employees and around 61 lakh pensioners.
